About Opus Energy Gift
What's it all about?
Opus Energy is a supplier of gas and electricity to businesses. We celebrated our 10th anniversary in 2012 and wanted to give something back to the communities in which we are based.
With this in mind, we launched the £10,000 Opus Energy Gift to give a helping hand to several Northamptonshire and Oxfordshire not-for-profit community groups.
The £10,000 Gift was sliced into:
- One gift of £3,000
- Two gifts of £2,000
- Three gifts of £600
- Four gifts of £300
How it worked
To apply for part of the £10,000, all local community groups needed to do was create a short video identifying how much of the Opus Energy Gift prize they would like to receive and what specific project they would use the money for. Groups had until 27th August 2012 to do this. Throughout the competition, and until 10th September 2012, the public voted for the videos.
The favourites were put before a judging panel for the final decision, and you can now view the winning groups on our home page! Join us on Facebook to keep up-to-date with how the winning groups spent their money.
